Regent Seven Seas Cruises Announces Promotions, Aligns Sales Force to Provide Superior Support

Miami, Fla. (Jan. 22, 2016) – The leader in luxury cruise vacations, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, recently announced the promotion of two longtime sales executives, along with an organizational realignment designed to better serve travel partners.

Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Randall Soy, appointed 34-year travel industry veteran Shawn Tubman as Senior Vice President of Sales for the luxury line. Tubman has been with Regent Seven Seas Cruises since 2011 and recently held the position of Vice President of National Accounts. His history within the cruise industry dates back to 1980 when he served as assistant cruise director on the SS Norway. For three decades, he has held sales leadership roles at Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Viking Line, Maupintour and the consortium Cruise Shoppes.

Backfilling Tubman in the role of Vice President of National Accounts is Shemain Grasso, who has spent the past 15 years with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, most recently as Senior Director of National Accounts.

In addition, Regent Seven Seas Cruises realigned its sales force to help develop stronger relationships with accounts, both large and small, and work more closely with travel partners to create and execute plans designed to grow their business.

Carlos Garzon, Vice President of Sales Operations leads the field sales and marketing teams along with a newly expanded Business Development team led by Joseph Leon, Senior Director of Business Development and Travel Agency Sales. The expanded Business Development team will provide additional resources for travel partners who are new to selling Regent Seven Seas Cruises and agencies that require additional support to reach sales goals.

High performing, large volume accounts will also benefit from this new structure as local Directors of Sales and Marketing will have additional capacity to focus on these top-tier accounts, while Barbara Staiger, in the role of Vice President of Key Accounts will lead the core team based in Miami tasked with providing support for the highest-producing retail agencies.

“The travel trade landscape continues to evolve, and we wanted to align our resources to provide superior support for agency partners of all sizes and models,” remarked Soy. “As we approach our 25th anniversary, we’re extremely fortunate to have forged such lasting relationships with our travel partners. With this new alignment, we’ll be able to increase the level of collaboration and better understand the business needs of all agencies who sell Regent Seven Seas Cruises.”

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is preparing for the launch Seven Seas Explorer, the most luxurious ship ever built, and is planning a major refurbishment program for the remainder of the fleet.
