  • Take in the majestic history of golfing in Scotland during a 3-night stay at the legendary Trump Turnberry Resort. Experience playing the world-renowned Ailsa Course, a 4-time host of The Open. Then spend a day as a VIP at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon.

Note: This program starts in Glasgow, Scotland and ends in Belfast, Ireland where guests will board the ship. Guests must fly into the Glasgow International Airport for the start of the program. The internal flight between Glasgow and Belfast is included in the cost of the program.

Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.

    DAY 1 – July 18, 2024

Arrive in Scotland, where golf was born, and begin an unforgettable 3-night golf land package.

You will be met in the Arrivals Hall once you have gone through Customs and Immigration and collected your luggage.

After your private transfer from Glasgow’s International Airport, check in to the beautiful Trump Turnberry Resort. With its spectacular coastline location, get ready for an experience like no other - where warm Scottish hospitality meets some of the most luxurious accommodations on the British Isles.

Your first day is at leisure and dinner “on own” is included in your package (any beverages are additional) at the breathtaking ‘1906’ Restaurant where you can enjoy some of the finest choices of both local cuts of meat and fresh fish caught in the nearby Ayrshire waters.

While staying at Trump Turnberry you may wish to book one of their outdoor pursuits offered through Turnberry Adventures. These include paddle boarding, kayaking, clay pigeon shooting, horseback riding, electric bikes just to name a few. Just a short walk from Turnberry resort lies Turnberry Beach which overlooks the beautiful Irish Sea and is popular for keen walkers. To the north, you can walk to Turnberry Lighthouse and perhaps enjoy a snack at the King of Scots Halfway House.

    DAY 2 – July 19, 2024

Today will be one for the history books as you play the breathtaking Ailsa Course, 4-time host of The Open Championship.

Following breakfast at the resort, you will tackle the legendary par-71, 6,474-yard course, which was reimagined with extensive improvements in 2016. This resulted in it being ranked as the #1 course in the UK and Ireland in 2019 and has remained permanently placed in the Top 15 golf courses in the world ranked by Golf Digest.

The Ailsa is a challenging course offering breathtaking views aplenty with numerous signature holes, especially the superb run of holes around the turn. The stunning 9th Hole is one of the best par-3 holes in the world with a tee shot over cliff-edges, crags and ravines to a tricky green backed by a picture-perfect lighthouse which also serves as the course’s halfway house. The following Par-5 10th hole also runs along the shoreside and features a large bunker in front of the green.

Caddies and access to Practice Range (including balls) are included in the experience.

Please note, no golf carts are allowed on the Ailsa course.

For the non-golfers, walk along the course with the group to savor the unbelievable views of the Ayrshire countryside and coastline or simply relax in the wonderful resort with its superb spa and leisure facilities.

Return to the Turnberry Resort for an afternoon at leisure.

Cocktails and a delicious three-course group dinner with superb wines will round out the day. Recount your experiences on the links with the group and share which pros you are looking forward to seeing in action the following day.

    DAY 3 – July 20, 2024

Troon will be hosting its 10th Open Championship and it’s fair to say it is home to one of the most iconic holes in the world – ‘The Postage Stamp’. Despite its small yardage, plenty of players have become unstuck here; indeed, Tiger Woods’ Open charge fell apart in 1997 with a triple-bogey 6.

The 2024 Open promises to be a hugely competitive contest with the best players in the world pitting their wits against both each other and this beast of a course.

Saturdays of a major tournament are known as ‘moving day’, so expect drama aplenty as you watch the pro’s aim to move up the leaderboard before the final round.

You will enjoy an included VIP ‘Caddies’ Package which offers a host of premium benefits, located on 15th hole, one of the most challenging holes on the course.

The VIP area has its own balcony overlooking the green and includes admission for the day, souvenir program with order of play, full TV coverage, air-conditioning, private restroom facilities within the pavilion, a grazing buffet and premium dining options throughout the day along with a full complimentary bar including wines, beer, Champagne, house spirits and soft drinks.

This offers a haven for you to return to after heading out on the links to watch some of the competition close-up. You’ll have the chance to watch the leading players negotiate their way around the course whilst also taking a stroll through the tented village areas which offer immersive experiences and golf retailers aplenty.

Shared coach transfers are provided to and from Turnberry hotel and are likely to return to the hotel around 5:30pm. If guests would like to leave earlier, they will need to arrange their own transport.

Dinner at leisure is included (beverages are additional) upon return in the stunning ‘1906’ Restaurant.

    DAY 4 – July 21, 2024

After three magical days in Scotland, it will be time to embark on your fantastic cruise voyage from Belfast to Barcelona.

Following check out and an early morning pick up, you will be transferred to Glasgow Airport for a flight to Belfast. Breakfast packs will be provided by the hotel. Upon arrival you will be met after Customs, Immigration and luggage collection and transferred as a group to the port. Here you will embark the beautiful Seven Seas Voyager.

*Golf equipment will be collected and shipped to your home address via Ship Sticks if you prefer not to take it on the cruise with you. This service is included. Golf equipment is not included in the cost of the program for the flight to Belfast. Any charges will be at your own expense.

  • Boasting a rich and varied past, Belfast is a city of both industry and elegance. This exploration of the city will introduce you to the many and varied features of Northern Ireland's largest city. You will also travel outside the city to visit the iconic Royal residence of Hillsborough Castle and the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage site - the Giant's Causeway.

    DAY 1

Fly into either the Belfast International Airport or the Dublin International Airport where you will be met outside the luggage collection area and transferred to your hotel which is located in the heart of the city of Belfast. Set in the Linen Quarter, you’ll find it’s the perfect spot for exploring all that Belfast has to offer.

Note: transfer time from the Dublin airport is approximately 1.5 hours and approximately 30 mintues from the Belfast airport. Guests arriving at the Dublin airport will be billed a surcharge of $350 USD per person for a private transfer.

Check in is at 3:00pm so you will be able to drop off your bags with the Concierge and begin independently exploring as this is a day at leisure. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available before this time, this cannot be guaranteed.

Perhaps venture to St. George’s Market – one of Belfast’s oldest attractions and one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. Other popular sites close by are the Crumlin Road Goal, City Hall, the Ulster Museum and the Botanic Gardens.

Meals are on your own today.

    DAY 2

Following breakfast, you will depart your hotel accompanied by a local guide.

Built with 19th century industrial money, many fine buildings from this era still grace the city and are reminders of its prosperous past. Enjoy commentary on such sights as the Grand Opera House and the Albert Memorial before passing Queen’s University where the Botanic Gardens are located. Located in these gardens is the Palm House – a superb structure of cast iron and curved glass panels built even before Kew Gardens opened in London in 1839.

You will drive past Belfast City Hall – an impressive building with a 300ft long façade of Portland stone, which dominates Donegall Square. One of Belfast's most iconic buildings, it first opened its doors in August 1906 and is today where the city council sits.

Travelling towards Belfast’s port area en-route to Titanic Belfast®, your informative guide will point out the twin shipbuilding cranes, affectionately known as Samson and Goliath, which dominate the Belfast skyline and are landmark structures of the city.

The most significant tale of Belfast’s ship building past is the ill-fated Titanic. Nicknamed the "millionaire’s special," it was the last word in luxury and signalled to the rest of the world that life in the 20th century would be bigger, faster, newer, shinier. The striking ultra-modern building of Titanic Belfast® resembles the hulls of four ships and the building is clad in thousands of three-dimensional aluminium plates. From above, it resembles a white star, the symbol of the White Star Line, Titanic’s operators.

Inside, the 118,400 square foot building offers a state-of-the-art experience that will take you through nine galleries on six floors. Through the interactive displays you will learn how Belfast became a thriving boomtown, watch a dramatic presentation of the shipyards and the Titanic under construction, explore the superb craftsmanship of Titanic’s interiors, relive the drama of its tragic end, and explore the wreckage on the ocean floor. After your tour and time permitting, you will have some free time to enjoy the breath-taking views that overlook the slip-ways where Titanic was launched, sit down for a bite in one of the fine restaurants or browse the gift shops for souvenirs.

Re-join your coach and drive past the alternative sights of Belfast including the political wall murals which are a unique cultural experience. You will also see the former Crumlin Road Court House and Crumlin Jail (both of these venues were for political offenders only) and The Peace Wall.

A stop will be made for lunch at a venue where you can experience the local fare and perhaps enjoy some Guinness.

Next, travel a short distance outside the city to the historic village of Hillsborough which is home to the distinguished Hillsborough Castle. Built in the 1770s by the first Marquis of Downshire, the mansion has been remodelled in the last 200 years to its present state and is the official residence of the British Royal Family when they are visiting Northern Ireland. Set on 96 acres, the grounds boast woodlands, waterways, and gardens that feature many rare plants. Set out on a guided tour through this lovely two-story late Georgian manor adorned with beautiful furniture and master pieces of art.

Visit the State Room where all visiting dignitaries are formally welcomed. Next door is Candlestick Hall where candles were collected before retiring for the night in the 18th century. The panels around the room, made in the early 19th century, are made from hand-painted wallpaper and depict scenes from Cervantes’ Don Quixote. Today, this is where members of the Royal Family and visiting dignitaries sign the visitors' book.

Next, you can visit the castle’s two dining rooms - the Red Dining Room, which looks out over what is claimed to be the largest rhododendron bush in Europe, and the State Dining Room where official state dinners are served. You will also visit the Throne Room, where citizenship ceremonies are held; the State Drawing Room, which overlooks the Jubilee garden; and Lady Grey’s Sitting Room.

At the conclusion of the tour, feel free to meander through the lovely gardens or stroll to Hillsborough village before re-joining your coach for the journey back to your hotel.

The remainder of the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at your hotel you will depart for a full day tour to Larne where you will join the Antrim Coast.

The three-hour panoramic drive unveils gorgeous vistas of windswept coastline, unrivalled seascapes, towering cliffs, white sandy beaches, tranquil glens and lush forest parks. Around each bend in the road you will find pretty fishing villages or dramatic headlands.

Leave the coach to stretch your legs and take photos at Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge viewpoint. Spanning a chasm some 80 feet deep, this bridge once consisted of a single rope handrail and widely spaced slats. Fishermen would traverse it while holding the salmon they caught - an endeavour that was not for the faint-hearted. Unfortunately, the old bridge was replaced more than a decade ago. There is now a much more sensible, two-railed bridge with no wide gaps or missing boards - not nearly as exciting as the old one.

Continue your drive along the coast, pausing for photos at White Park Bay and Dunluce Castle. Built in the 14th century, Dunluce is perched at the edge of a magnificent cliff with the fierce Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop. Most of the fortifications here date from the 16th and 17th centuries.

Following lunch, visit the Giant’s Causeway – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For centuries, visitors have marvelled at its majesty and mystery. The Visitor Center allows you to decide for yourself which is the most likely (or the most interesting) explanation of how the causeway’s 40,000 basalt stones were formed. Stories about the area’s rich mythology, history, geology, flora and fauna introduce you to the Causeway; then, walk the causeway to see how this unique rock formation has stood as a natural rampart against the unbridled ferocity of Atlantic storms for millions of years. The rugged symmetry of the columns never fails to intrigue and inspire.

Return to Belfast via the inland route of Bushmills and Ballymena -a 90-minute drive.

You are in for a treat this evening as you head out for dinner and a lively show which takes you through the hidden backstreets and lost lanes of old Belfast through narration and dance. Spend an enchanting time in the company of world champion Irish dancers and musicians. Try your hand at 'sean-nós' and céilí dancing as your entertainers sing and play local melodies and street songs that would have been heard in the ship-yards, mills and markets of the old days. With dancing, stories, songs and music played with a variety of traditional Irish instruments, there is something special for everyone in this unique cultural experience that is "The Story of Hidden Belfast ".

Following your enjoyable evening, return to your hotel.

    DAY 4 – Sunday, July 3, 2022

  • Explore prominent landmarks and extraordinary cities that define Spain, many of them World Heritage sites, an experience that will leave you with a deeper historical and cultural perspective of the country.

NOTE: this program ends in Madrid, Spain therefore departing flights need to be booked out of the Madrid International Airport (MAD). This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or for those who use a wheelchair, walker or scooter due to the amount of walking, many steps and cobbled surfaces. There are long segments of driving on this program.

Hotel Amendment: Please be advised that the group will now stay at the NH Collection Gran Hotel Zaragoza instead of Hotel Alfonso Zaragoza on Day 1. The NH Collection Gran Hotel Zaragoza is located in the heart of the city close to museums, shops and restaurants.

    DAY 1

After disembarking the cruise ship in Barcelona, you will enjoy a leisurely and immensely scenic drive to the Poblet Monastery. A 12th-century church stands at the center of this sacred World Heritage site, which features a fortified royal residence. While touring, you will learn about the monks’ lifestyle in the Middle Ages and the mountainous route that connects this Cisterian monastery to two others.

Continuing on to the nearby medieval village of Montblanc, you can expect to see its Gothic churches, the royal palace and the city’s 14th-century stone walls, more than half of which still exist. Free time follows, during which you can explore further. The centrally located Plaza Mayor is a great starting point for shopping and people-watching.

Afterwards, you will settle in for a relaxing drive to Zaragoza, the capital of the province that lies on the Ebro River. Upon arriving, you will check into your hotel where the remainder of the day will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.

Note: At the Monastery of Poblet you will have approximately 1.5 km / .9 miles of walking and about 10 steps to negotiate. In Montblanc there will be approximately 1 km./.06 miles of walking over cobblestone surfaces

    DAY 2

After breakfast at the hotel, you will spend the next two hours or so exploring Zaragoza, especially the Old Town. Its star attraction is the multi-domed Basilica of Pilar, an important pilgrimage site. According to local legend, the Virgin Mary gave Saint James a pillar made of jasper here and instructed him to build a church on the site. This last version of El Pilar, as it’s known locally, was constructed beginning in the late 17th century.

You will next visit the ancient town of Medinaceli, which in Arabic and means “City on the Hill.” The Romans founded the city and structures from that time still remain, the most famous being a stone arch built in the 2nd century. Other highlights include a 17th-century palace and a Gothic church built even earlier.

Following lunch, you will settle in for a relaxing drive to Madrid, where you will check into the Eurostar Madrid Tower or similar hotel. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.

Note: In Zaragoza there will be approximately 1 km/ .6 miles of walking over flat, paved surfaces. In Medinaceli, 1.5km / .9 miles over cobbled and paved surfaces with slight inclines.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Toledo, a city so architecturally rich that Spain has declared it a national monument. UNESCO agreed and designated the historic center a World Heritage site, in part because three religions existed harmoniously here—Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

As you walk through this extraordinary city on the Tagus River, you will get a genuine feel for what life was like here in the Middle Ages. The historic city center is that atmospheric. The Toledo Cathedral is particularly impressive, as it is considered one of Europe’s greatest Gothic buildings. Built over nearly three centuries, starting in 1226, the cathedral contains a spectacular high altar and two painting by El Greco, the famed painter that lived in Toledo.

Lunch follows, after which you will proceed to Madrid. As an introduction to Spain’s vibrant capital, you will drive past key landmarks before starting an enlightening walking tour in Plaza Mayor. This grand arcaded square in the heart of the city offers wonderful options for shopping and dining nearby, as you may discover during free time.

By late afternoon, you will return to the hotel, where you will spend the evening with dinner on your own.

Note: In Toledo there will be approximately 2.5 km / 1.5 miles of walking over paved and cobblestone surfaces with some ascending inclines. In Madrid you will have approximately 1.5km / .9 miles of walking over flat, paved surfaces.

    DAY 4

After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Segovia, a World Heritage site perhaps best known for its aqueduct that was probably constructed during the reign of Roman emperor Trajan. Until about 100 years ago, the aqueduct still carried water from the Frio River into Segovia 10 miles away.

The Alcazar is another landmark that is impossible to miss. Construction began in the 12th century and its fabulous fairy-tale style supposedly inspired the design of the Walt Disney castle in part. You will also spend time in Segovia’s walled upper town, whose cathedral is the last Gothic one built in Spain. It stands where Isabella I was proclaimed the Queen of Castile in 1474.

Following lunch in Segovia, you will drive to the 16th-century Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial on the outskirts of Madrid. It too is a World Heritage site and celebrated for its austere appearance, which influenced Spanish architecture for the next half century or so. As you wander through the interior, the guide will describe the building’s illustrious history, including how King Philip II conceived El Escorial as a funerary monument for his father.

After visiting, you will return to the hotel in Madrid, where you will spend the evening with dinner on your own.

Note: In Segovia you will have approximately 1km / .6 miles of walking over cobblestones and paved surfaces, with some ascending inclines and in Escorial there will be approximately 2.5 km / 1.5 miles of walking over flat, paved surfaces.

    DAY 5

Following breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will transfer to the Madrid International Airport based on the departure of your flight. Luggage can be stored at the hotel for guests with flights that depart late in the day.

  • Explore Barcelona and Girona in depth by visiting their architectural landmarks, often on guided walking tours and on your own with a liberating Hop On Hop Off bus voucher in the capital of Catalonia.

    Day 1:

After disembarking the ship in Barcelona, you will begin a guided tour of the city. You will pass the Columbus monument and the waterfront on the way to Sagrada Familia, the extraordinary still-unfinished church that famed architect Antoni Gaudí worked on until his death in 1926. The guide will explain the history of the church and its lengthy ongoing construction during your outside visit.

Continuing, you will begin a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, passing landmarks such as the La Seu Cathedral and city hall. A more sweeping view of Barcelona awaits you upon reaching Mount Juic hill, where you may pause for photos. You will then visit Spanish Village, an open-air museum with replicas of characteristic houses from throughout Spain. As you meander the grounds, you may observe artists such as glassblowers demonstrating their talents.

A tapas-style lunch follows, after which you will check into your hotel to spend the first of three nights. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure. The hotel is located in the Eixample district of Barcelona just a 10-minute walk to Las Ramblas. Passeig de Gràcia, the city’s nicest shopping street, is easily reached on foot. Emblematic buildings and sights such as Casa Batlló, Casa Milà (La Pedrera), La Sagrada Familia, and the Picasso museum are also nearby should you wish to visit them on your own.

NOTE: if your cruise ends in Tarragona, transfer from Tarragona to Barcelona before starting your city tour.

    Day 2:

After breakfast, you will settle in for a direct transfer to Girona, accompanied by a guide. Northern Catalonia’s largest city, Girona is full of museums, galleries and Gothic churches, strung around a tangle of cobbled lanes and medieval walls. Reflections of modernist mansions shimmer in the river that divides the historic center from the gleaming commercial center.

During the comprehensive walking tour of the city center, you will enjoy an inside visit of the 12th-century Arab baths and see the remains of Girona’s historical Jewish community. During free time that follows, you might savor lunch on your own before transferring back to Barcelona to spend the evening at the hotel.

    Day 3:

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will receive a complimentary Hop On Hop Off bus voucher that will allow you to explore the attractions that interest you the most. Simply hop on the buses and hop off whenever you wish. The buses travel in a continuous loop between attractions that include the Picasso Museum, the Gaudí-designed houses Casa Battló and Casa Mila, and various shopping areas.

The entire day will be yours to spend as you please, with all meals on your own before retiring to the hotel for the evening.

    Day 4:

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will check out by noon (subject to change). Transfers to the airport will be based on flight times. See your Welcome Letter for details. For guests with late-departing flights, luggage storage is available at the hotel.
